If you sell the stuff off as a single lot, I doubt you will get the numbers
you are talking about.  If you sell them as individual sets, and print out
the instructions (preferably in color), you will do a lot better.  But lots
of missing parts, especially an unknown vague amount of parts (or a known
small amount of important parts) will bring the bids back down.  If you can
provide exact substitute parts, all the better.  How much money you make
will depend on how much effort you are willing to put into the project.  As
for individual set prices, go over to eBay and do the research on the
recently sold sets.  Note the condition and completeness, and that will put
you in the ballpark.

I have a rather decently sized collection of Legos that has been collecting dust for a while I would like to sell, but I am first trying to get opinions as to what they would be worth in either auction or straight sale. This collection dates back at (...) (23 years ago, 14-Dec-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
