(...) I've heard of BrickStore, but I didn't know it could import LDraw files and export XML for searching. I'll look into it. The script really wasn't much work gone to waste. I might still use it. (...) It isn't very well advertised, but you should check out BrickStore (URL) It is open source and does the same thing in a GUI.
