This is definitely NOT the Largest collection of Lego by a consumer--we all
know dozens of AFOL's who exceed this amount significantly.
I saw the original auction and just passed it by--too many recent sets for the
kind of money the seller is seeking. But I did bid on it this time just for
laughs.
I am so NOT interested as there would be too much effort to resell the unwanted
stuff either as sets, parts, or a combination. But, on second thought, maybe I
should seriously consider buying it and then turn around and channel it all
through Brickbay.
The chief problem using Brickbay (or other venues) would be to determine and
then keep segregated all of the NEW parts from the USED. This is a situation I
have not yet figured out how to do with my current Brickbay inventory (and the
reason why my store has never been opened). Anyone who has this figured out,
let me know how you accomplished it and how well it works.
