I don't know that I've ever done this (I pick up a few older castle sets
whenever I can get them at a price I like, but I never sell or trade those)
but I could, maybe, see myself doing it under certain circumstances.

That is, if I had a not-so-good copy of a set I sorda liked but wasn't crazy
about, I could see myself picking up a MIB set then selling or trading the
other one.  Don't see anything wrong with that particular act in and of itself.

I am finding that there are several "dealers" of lego on ebay and elsewhere
that seem to both buy and sell -- but when I get something from them it looks
like someone else's reject lego.  I am receiving stuff with dents, chips,
chunks missing, bite marks, bent plates, etc.  This is just NOT okay!  And I
find that both of us, seller and buyer, being Lugnuts makes no difference.

What you seem to be complaining about, and what I would join you in naming
wrong, is deceit on the part of the seller.  It wouldn't matter to me if I
knew you had a "good" condition set that you sold me only because you were
able to find a "mint" condition set to replace it.  What _would_ bother me is
if you represented your "good" set as being in better condition than it really
is.  And that would include not mentioning things like broken pieces,
discoloring, etc.

I buy and sell Lego stuff as well, although my buying is usually limited to
either older sets that for some reason aren't getting bid up as much as they
normally do (tons of Lego stuff on eBay helps cheapies like me) or specific
parts from newer sets from other parts sellers, either for cash or trade
credit in my own sales.  Doesn't bother me that those people may buy and sell
as well, as long as we're on the up and up about it all.
