I think you're indeed dealing with somebody honest, so I wouldn't push it
too hard. If you can make the sale with the secondhighest bidder and he
pays the difference, I think you should be VERY happy things worked out so
well.

I've recently had a non-LEGO auction on Ebay where the highest bidder never
responded to my emails. After waiting over a week, and a lot of emails, I
contacted the second-highest bidder, who replied within an hour that he
would love to buy the item for the price he bid. So I only lost say $2 on
it in the end. I did post negative feedback for the highest bidder (he
didn't have any feedback up to that point.... maybe I should have known
better)
