The other day I discovered a new feature in eBay. eBay regulars will
recall that you used to be able to see your maximum bid on your "My eBay
page". While that has not yet returned, if you bid against yourself, and
don't increase the bid, you now get an error page which identifies your
high bid (you used to just get a bid confirmation for the bid value you
already had).
Yay! Now you can check your maximum, just submit the next allowable bid
(note that if your bid is already at your maximum, you may increase your
bid to a full bid increment above the 2nd highest bidders bid).

| (...) or just filter your confirmation email that eBay sends out into a folder, then if you don't remember your max, go back and check the email.. they include your max when you first join the auction :) J (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

| (...) Frank, So, you are now winning so many auctions you actually have to bid against yourself to liven things up? BTW : Does ebay recognize you were the last bidder and only increase your max... or does it actually let you bid against your self? (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.auction)
