Re: Lego Model of PSInet stadium - Is this guy another master builder?

(...) If the colors in the photo are true - and I've seen some wide variation form true, the dk gray blue and rust look like MegaBlock colors from a few years back. I use the rust ones for brick chimneys on the blacksmith and peasant buildings. (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.general)

  Re: Shady seller?

(...) I inquired about this and was told by the seller that he needed a credit card to list in US$ on US eBay. His subterfuge was to list in AUS$ to get a wider audience than eBay Germany. I'll see what his follow through is......if he's a problem (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

RE: EBAY Listing Fee Increases - Anti-LEGO?

(...) I think you guys are making this way too difficult. My guess: they decided to implement a 10% increase. 10% of .25 is only 2.5 cents, which doesn't make for a nice round number. Rather than leave it at .25 they raised it to .30. How many (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: EBAY Listing Fee Increases - Anti-LEGO?

(...) <snip> Which makes me wonder... are they trying to reduce the number of "lets list it for 25-cents and take whatever we get" type of auctions (many of which get no bids) ar do they view this portion of the market as having the highest return (...)   Re: EBAY Listing Fee Increases - Anti-LEGO?

I guess they have to pay for all those TV ads somehow. Yahoo! just started charging this past week for auctions. They only charge to list, no charge on the final value: $0.01 - $9.99 $0.20 $10.00 - $24.99 $0.35 $25.00 - $49.99 $0.75 $50.00 and up (...)   EBAY Listing Fee Increases - Anti-LEGO?

They're increasing the listing fees across the board. In particular, they're discouraging small auctions by increasing the opening bids on lots starting under $10 by 20%, whereas other opening bid listings are only increasing 10%. Here's the (...)
