If the parts are not as described then the seller should pay all of the
shipping. Period.
I have recently had to offer such a refund on a sale that I made. It was a
mistake in listing a minifig where I accidently clicked on the one below the
one I meant to on the inventory screen. The buyer contacted me, I explained
what had happened, and refunded his full payment plus the cost of shipping
them back to me.
Sure, I obviously lost money on the transaction, but the mistake was mine so
that is how it goes. Also, I provided good customer service and am
confident that the buyer would be willing to purchase from me again in the
future instead of avoiding my store.
If a seller, especially one that sells used parts, wants to avoid
"differences of opinion" on part descriptions, perhaps they should try to be
a little more honest with themselves and their buyers when listing items.
Something with obvious bite marks is far from being in "Great Condition".
Something from your childhood collection, while useable, is most likely not
in great condition either. I know nothing from my childhood collection
would even rate a "good" rating.
