  Re: Samsonite

(...) Air Canada. Old odd lego is to my reconing, worth whatever the buyer will pay for it. I have my UNICEF van, and told someone that to me, it was worth a metroliner (that's about what I figure it is worth, because I know they are a ultra rare (...)   What is a 128 Mobile Crane from Train cars 1971 worth?

Can any one give me an idea of how rare this set is and what it is worth? It is in good condition and has the instructions. Thanks. Alison (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Fair price for sealed 6280?

What's a decent price for a sealed 6280? I have two copies of this set I was thinking of breaking up for parts (I mainly want the green railings but I can do without them) but I figured it might be easier (and nicer for someone who missed out on (...) a Samsonite set 610 Canadian Airlines (...) ??? Air Canada? or Wardair? or CP air (Canadian Pacific). Candian is more recent than Sampsonite's departure from the scene, IIRC. James (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Samsonite

I picked up my first ever Samsonite set while in London. I answered a Loot ad and came away with an 8880 Car ready built and a police station 6386 and a Samsonite set 610 Canadian Airlines helicopter. Now I wonder how rare is set 610 ????? Michael (...)   Re: Price for bulk secondhald Lego?

(...) Depends on the quality of the pieces, how much non-lego stuff is mixed in, whether or not you can identify possible sets in the mix (look for rare pieces, partial construction, etc). Bill Katz has mentioned that his standard offer for random (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Technic Super Model instructions

While going through my old instructions, I came across a booklet for a super model made up of 3 red Technic sets. The copyright date is 1991, and it uses these sets: 8024 8815 8820 Is this worth anything at all? Did it come with one of those sets, (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Price for bulk secondhald Lego?

(...) [...] Awesome idea! Thanks! I think I'll advertise in my school... 'til now, I just talked to individuals, but hey, my h-s has about 2500+ students, so it's worth a shot! Thanks for the idea, guys, -Shiri (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Price for bulk secondhald Lego?

(...) Good idea, although I would expand to high schools also. If you wait till kids are in college, parents might sell everything at a garage sale or save it for the grandkids. I used to focus my garage sale hunting in areas close to high schools (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Price for bulk secondhald Lego?

(...) Brilliant idea. Calculate how many pieces are in a pound, and then go from there. But still charge per pound, cents per piece doesn't sound to impressive. You'll probably get a bunch of classic space guys, trans-yellow cockpits, maiden hats, (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Price for bulk secondhald Lego?

I had a great idea to get bulk Lego cheap, and I would like your input: I want to put flyers up at my local college advertising that I buy Lego for some price per pound, hoping that incoming students will see this as an opportunity to get easy money (...)   Re: Old Catalogs and Leaflets

(...) My answer is the same as Ben's - if you want to GIVE them away... There's always eBay... The older the better. Wayne (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Old Catalogs and Leaflets

(...) Hi, Kev, Some of theseolder leaflets and catalogs had scenes or layouts with many different models from a theme on the back side. i would be interested in some of these showing scenes involving the space or castle themes.   Old Catalogs and Leaflets

Hi, I have a big pile of old in-set catalogs and leaflets dating back to 1984 (I think). I was wondering if they are worth something? Or should they go in the trash? Thanks! Kev Z #142 (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Set 5533 Red Fury

Wondering what this set is "worth" either as parts, or as a complete model, MISB. I may be able to get my hands on several of them, and am not stunningly interested in it as a model or parts selection (doesn't appear to be a great selection for (...)
