  Re: Any LUG activity here?

I'm interested in decusing about a Pittsburgh LUG. -shane Creater: Brick City Webmaster: Mutual Aid Association of Lego Fire Departments (24 years ago, 13-Mar-02, to lugnet.loc.us.pa.pit)

  Re: Any LUG activity here?

I'd be interesting in helping follow through with a Pittsburgh LUG ('burghLUG?), if you'd like some help. It only takes a few to get started. Then we can set about building Rome. (Or Athens. Either one can be done with white bricks, of which I have (...) (24 years ago, 13-Mar-02, to lugnet.loc.us.pa.pit)

  Western Sets

This may be old news, but I spotted Fort Legoredo at the SH TRU yesterday, along with two other Wild West sets and apparently the last copy of Armada Flagship. Not much else to report, but Wild West fans may be interested. Dave! (24 years ago, 25-Feb-02, to lugnet.loc.us.pa.pit)

  Re: Any LUG activity here?

(...) There are a few people in the area. There was a bit of interest when I posted a call out for a pittsburgh LUG but nothing really came of it. (partially my fault) John (24 years ago, 12-Feb-02, to lugnet.loc.us.pa.pit)

  Any LUG activity here?

I may have the opportunity to consider a job in Pittsburgh (I've got a phone interview tomorrow). I'm curious what the LUG activity is like. Frank (24 years ago, 7-Feb-02, to lugnet.loc.us.pa.pit)

  Pittsburgh Magizine Cover

The December Cover of Pittsburgh Magizine has a picture of a LEGO wreath. (URL) article about the 5 wreaths that they had Pittsburgh artists make doesn't appear on the online magizine. but in the mag they gave a link to the artist's web site who did (...)   Re: Any sitings?

(...) Yunz can disregard my previous post--I've found the sets in the NH Target and TRU. Thanks all the same! Dave! (24 years ago, 5-Nov-01, to lugnet.loc.us.pa.pit)

  Any sitings?

Many of us have probably heard of the clone-brand LotR sets being released. If anyone spots these in the vicinity of Pittsburgh, would you mind posting a heads-up? I've checked the North Hills area, to no avail. Thanks, Dave! (25 years ago, 24-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.us.pa.pit)

  Re: mckeesport area.

there has been some discussion of forming a Pittsburgh LUG but it never got too far off the ground. (or at all even) but I definitlly think there is intrest. there were (are) probablly 5 or 6 people interested. we just need to get things orginazed (...)   mckeesport area.

Hello, I'm from Elizabeth/Mckeesport area and I was wondering if anyone was interested in trading/sharing models, ideas..etc.. in the pittsburgh region.   Minor Bargains

TRU in the North Hills has an outdoor tent under which items are being sold on clearance, though in some cases "clearance" is sort another way of saying "for one dollar less than MSRP." Anyway, they have a few Insectoids sets, most notably the (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.us.pa.pit)

  A few sightings

Bionicle, heaven help us, is now omnipresent in Pittsburgh, and Creator has hit the shelves in just about every store I've checked. KB in the South Hills still has a number of Chrome Knights sets for about $4.99, as well as a few of the small (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.pa.pit)

Re: Go to Robinson Family Toy...

(...) I checked at the one in Northway Mall on McKnight road, but there wasn't even a space set aside for HP LEGO. If the sets are coming out in *November*, isn't it really early for a store to be saving space to stock them? J (25 years ago, 17-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.us.pa.pit)

  Go to Robinson Family Toy...

... To see some enterprising employee's mock-up of the Harry Potter sets. Have a look at my post on lugnet.harrypotter for more detail. The short story is, Family Toy (at Robinson, don't know about others in the area), has done their new stock prep, (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.us.pa.pit)

  I haven't been around for a while...

...and it's pretty unlikely I'll be at any NELUG meetings in the future, for the same reasons that I haven't been around on LUGNET. That is, my wife and I moved back to Pittsburgh.   JP3

Jurassic Park 3 sets are all over the place at WalMart and TRU. Also, WalMarts are getting Bionicle sets in now. I like the Spinosaurus, He doesn't have many parts, but he sure is big.   Re: New stuff in the area?

(...) The South Hills TRU has a ton as well. I've taken a look, and you're welcome to them--not quite to my taste. I'll check a few places in the North Hills this week. Dave! (25 years ago, 28-May-01, to lugnet.loc.us.pa.pit)
