(...) Hi Jon, I think there is a small handful of people in the Portland area, but it may take a while for them to show up... BTW, please post your last name (your full real-life name) so that we have it on record and so that the server can add it (...) (26 years ago, 6-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.or.por)

         Re: anybody here? —Max Lemieux
I'm in Vancouver...went to the traveling show at Waterfront Park the other weekend. Lame. I just don't go for those big sculpted type models where it might as well be plaster. We all know that can be done- I want to see models more like the various (...) (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.or.por)

Oops, posted twice-sorry. BTW, did anyone here snag the two 1000-piece blue buckets that were on 50% off clearance plus a 20% off LEGO sale? Really teed me off, I came back the night after I saw them and they were gone. 2000 pieces for $16. Oh, (...) (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.or.por)

          Re: anybody here? —Jon Nichol
(...) Not me. Wow, good price. Which Fred Meyer do you shop at? I usually go to the Orchards one. They have a lot of sets on the top shelf I'm waiting for them to put on clearance. (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.or.por)

          Re: anybody here? —Scott Smallbeck
That's interesting that they had the large blue buckets on clearance down there. I live in the Seattle area and they had the large red buckets #4128 on clearance for $12.94 plus an additional 20% off. They also had put several other sets on (...)          Re: train show this weekend! —Jon Nichol
(...) According to www.pnltc.org, the show at the expo center is part of an annual Great American Train show where PNLTC will have a booth along with all the people with their HO scale model train booths (and other scales).    (...) I live in Eugene, and don't get up to Portland hardly ever, but am in the area. I probably should post this to the .eug group but if anyone in the area has stuff to trade send me email. Timbo (25 years ago, 10-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.or.por)

        Re: anybody here? —Matthew Wilkins
(...) I realise that this thread is several months old, but I wanted to put in my US$.02 anyway. My name's Matthew Wilkins, and I live in Southeast.         Re: anybody here? —Mark Ferris
(...) Ah hah! I knew there was somebody else out there. You must be the reason why the shelves are always empty whenever the stores have sales. (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.or.por)

        Re: anybody here? —Matthew Wilkins
(...) for (...) *grin* I was at the Tanasbourne Target the other day and noticed that all of the Star Wars Snowspeeder sets were gone, and I figured it was "all" the other PDX-area AFOLs getting them... it wasn't *me* that's for sure.         Re: anybody here? —Mark Ferris
(...) Yes, I picked up several of the red classic power buckets there with the $2 off price they had. I'm mostly a technic buyer, though, and Fred's doesn't carry many of the more interesting models (need to look at TRU or Target for those). Have (...)
