Pictures and Show report COLTC at GATS Cincinnati

Last weekend COLTC participated at the Cincinnati GATS. We were given very little time to organize this, GATS called us just two weeks before the show, they wanted more layouts. Less than a handfull of members could attend, but we had just enough (...) (21 years ago, 25-Feb-04, to lugnet.events, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.town, lugnet.loc.us.oh, FTX) !

COLTC will participate at coming weekends' GATS show. The show hours are 11 AM to 5 PM, both days, and will be held at the Cincinnati Convention Center, 6th and Elm streets.   Re: Possible Lego Display July 3, 2004

I know it's bad form to reply to your own message, but... (...) Guess I was wrong. July 3rd is permanent-markered in on my calendar with your name. I'll be bringing at least one MOC, I believe. -Mike (21 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.cle, FTX)

Re: Possible Lego Display July 3, 2004

(...) I can supply MOC's, but I can't be there in person. So if you feel confident enough in handling their setup, I can provide you with a few things for the display. I'd think that a couple of my sculptures, like the Pooh Bear would work well. (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.cle)

Re: Possible Lego Display July 3, 2004

Troy, Finally, a Display near me! :) I can't guarantee anything, but it's possible that I might be able to build something and send it up with someone going by. Chances of attendance are probably a little small, but I'll see what happens. Other than (...) (21 years ago, 17-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.cle)

Possible Lego Display July 3, 2004

I've been asked if I could organize a "Lego Display" for a local festival whose planning committee I am on. The festival runs over the 4th of July weekend, and the display is currently sceduled for Saturday, July 3, 2004. Approximate timeframe would (...)   Re: Possible Lego Display July 3, 2004

Jason, The tent is in the middle of an open grass field. It is FAR from the parking lots. I've been involved with the festival for 5 years now and don't recall ever having an issue with dust. We also have an art exhibit that runs all 5 days of the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

Re: Possible Lego Display July 3, 2004

(...) Something to think about; Dust. NILTC did a Thomas show at the Illinois Rail Museum last year, outside, and had major problems with dust. They were near the parking lot and the grass that people walked on turned to dirt pretty quick. After the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, FTX)

We received our first official 1st place win during the GATS in Columbus. Hopefully a start of (...)   Re: 3 Skyscrapers

(...) Thanks. One Nationwide plaza is "only" 148 meters tall, so it is the 6th tallest currently in Columbus. The tallest is the Rhodes Office tower, at 191 meters. This would be around 35 bricks taller than the Huntington is. The plus sude of this (...) (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.loc.us.oh, FTX)
