  Re: anyone out there?

Alan wanted me to post this: From: Alan Clegg <abc@bast.firehouse.net> This won't make it to the lugnet groups, but a followup: TRU at crossroads does not have StarWars as of this morning, and the 'regional manager' informed me that "Oh, those have (...)   Re: anyone out there?

Mike, very nice assesment of the Cary area... I've a couple comments: (...) I managed to get 2 copies of the Flying Ninha Fortress for $69.95 there the other day. They were marked so on the shelf (or at least thats what I thought). I also picked up (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral)

Todd Lehman wrote in message ... (...) Small world - hopefully you were here on Saturday when the weather was nice. Sunday was kind of nasty ... ;-) Here is my assessment of the LEGO market in the Cary, NC area where I also live. If you are familiar (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral)

  Re: anyone out there?

(...) Of course there is the additional coincidence that I grew up in Massachusetts near Boston... (specifically in Concord and Lexington - I've seen mention of a toy store in Concord, and wonder if its the same toy store of my youth...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral)

  Re: anyone out there?

(...) Wow, small world! I was just in Cary over the weekend for my niece's 1st birthday party. Spent the whole time getting caught up on family, didn't go shopping at all. Anything good that I missed? :) --Todd (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral)

Star Wars found in Cary K-Mart (corner of Kildaire Farms Rd. and Maynard Rd.)

I found the Star Wars sets at K-Mart in Cary. I picked up all five. After I got one of each, only one X-Wing left, several Snow Speeders, and tons of Landspeeders and Speeder Bikes. I just finished assembling the Landspeeder. Frank (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: anyone out there?

(...) Hmm, As my web pages show, I'm primarily into space (though I have a soft-spot for castle sets), but even as a kid, I remember never being too interested in the "Official" Lego models.   Re: Triangle folks

You know, I think we in NC would be better served if there were a lugnet.loc.us.nc triangle (and possibly: lugnet.loc.us.nc triad). Having seperate groups for durham and raleigh really isnt that useful, since we're only 20 minutes away, and having a (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.loc.us.nc.dur)

  Triangle folks

Alan Clegg asked me to post this for him since he's having trouble posting... For some unknown reason, the lugnet thing won't let me post. Can you pass this on to the readers of the 'nc' (Raleigh area) lugnet list(s)? <BIO> Alan Clegg -- 36yr old (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.loc.us.nc.dur)
