Re: Lego train club for the Saint Louis area?

(...) I assume you don't have a map in front of you because you would be taking the LONG way to Paducah if you did that! Paducah is only 150 miles or a little under two and a half hours from St. Louis. All you do is take I-64 to I-57 to I-24 and (...)   Re: Lego train club for the Saint Louis area?

(...) Well obviously the place and time need to be made by someone who wants to take charge IN the St. Louis area. Maybe we could meet at their home. If this is the case then they need to be the one who comes up with the time, date, etc. Any (...)   Re: Lego train club for the Saint Louis area?

(...) We should post a date, time and place to meet then see how many people will post back saying that they could meet at that time. That's the best way I figure to get this thing rolling.   Re: Lego train club for the Saint Louis area?

(...) I live in the South St. Louis area. I would be interested to help to get something rolling. I would think that there would be plenty of people in this part of the country to make something work.   Re: Lego train club for the Saint Louis area?

(...) How many people need to be interested before you think we have enough? Also who would be willing to set up a web site dedicated to the club? John Warren (26 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mo.stl, lugnet.loc.us.mo, lugnet.loc.us.mo.kan, lugnet.trains)

Re: Lego train club for the Saint Louis area?

It seams as though we could start something. In lugnet.trains is this: "I live in Paducah, Kentucky which is about 2-3 hours away from St.Louis. I would definitely be interested in forming a train group in this part of the world. I've been hoping (...)   Re: Lego train club for the Saint Louis area?

(...) Being in the Kansas City area, we're only about 3.5-4 hours apart. If you want to think on a broader scale, I would like to start a Missouri LEGO train club. Guess you could call it Heart of America LTC or Real[1] Midwest LTC. There are a (...) (26 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mo.stl, lugnet.loc.us.mo, lugnet.loc.us.mo.kan)

  Re: Anyone in KC?

(...) Kohl's is now running a 20% off everything sale on all Lego. They've typically got a somewhat disorganized selection of Lego similar to Walmart. But toys are just a sideline to clothing. -Jon (27 years ago, 13-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mo.kan)

(...) Ouch! (...) If you post anytime that you find good sales or clearance sections, I'll be reading. Depending on the time and my finances, I'd make a trip to KC just for Lego if the sale was right. (...) Thanks. What kind of store is Kohl's? I've (...)   Star Wars sets

I found the following at the Zany Brainy in Overland Park, KS. (They are probably sold out now) 7150 TIE Fighter & Y-Wing 7110 Land Speeder 7128 Speeder Bikes -Jon (27 years ago, 11-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mo.kan)

  Re: Anyone in KC?

Hi Chris! Zany Brainy in Overland Park got a small shipment of StarWars which sold out in < 1 day. Even though I called before they put them on the shelves and they promised me a copy of each, they had "forgotten" by the time I got there. If there's (...) (...) Hi, I finally found this group. If anyone reads this, post a reply. I'm collecting gray parts to build a Minifig scale Battleship. Any week now, I'll launch a web site for parts.   Re: Anyone in KC?

I'm in Columbia, not KC, but hi. I collect primarily Space and Castle themes. No monorail or train stuff, though am interested in eventually branching into both.
