Meeting of the Mindstorms —Scott Holdren
Is anyone interested in organizing a Mindstorms get-together in the Boston area? I am in Salem, and would like to see other Mindstorms creations, as well as start some competitions. It would also be great to program our rcx's to communicate with (...) (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Matthew Miller
(...) Sure, that'd be way cool. I know of at least three people at OIT at Boston U. When? (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Scott Holdren
When: ASAP! My question is where. I can probably find some space for a dozen or so people in Salem, but that's not very central for most. Scott Matthew Miller <mattdm@mattdm.org> wrote in article <slrn71n5tn.pa3.matt...bu.edu>... (...) Boston (...) (...) (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Matthew Miller
(...) I hope the construction site people agree. 'Cause while I have an apartment nicely located in Harvard Square, there's not really room for more than about three people. (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Todd Lehman
(...) That sounds like a great idea! There are quite a few AFOL's in the Greater Boston Area... Maybe Matthew Miller would even bring his RoboTag, that must be something to see.. --Todd (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Matthew Miller
(...) Sure. I like to show off. :) Perhaps we could ask The Construction Site guys to host the meeting .... (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Scott Holdren
I just sent an email to The Construction Site to see what they think. When I picked mine up from there, they had mentioned they were planning some sort of meeting. Scott Holdren scott@holdren.com (URL) Miller <mattdm@mattdm.org> wrote in article (...) (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Scott Holdren
I got a reply from Steve at the Construction Site. He said they are planning to coordinate some Mindstorm events, but that they are waiting until after Christmas. I'm sure they are pretty busy this time of year. They would be interested in (...) (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Matthew Miller
(...) Hmmm. I'm sure there are. Should we work on finding an alternate meeting place? Or did they say if they'd be open to us using their store if we did all the coordinating? They wouldn't have to give away free Lego or anything. :) (...) Well, my (...) (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Scott Holdren
I think we should look for a meeting place. They didn't sound too interested or available right now. Do you think any libraries or schools would be open to us? I'm really drawing a blank for ideas. Maybe the MIT museum? I was just there the other (...) (26 years ago, 7-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Matthew Miller
(...) Hmm. Well, I work at BU.... I just started a few months ago and don't know my way around quite well enough yet to know what's available to me, but I could ask. (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Patrick Gili
I think this would agreeable, even if all I've done with the beastie so far is hack at it. As far as a meeting place is concerned, I could ask my wife--she knows lots of people out here in the West Metro region that have access to meeting space. (...)          Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Matthew Miller
(...) It'd be great for the location to be accessible via public transportation -- ideally by a T stop. (26 years ago, 8-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Suzanne D. Rich
Count me in too! I'm likin' this robotic stuff. And, um, don't eliminate The Construction Site as a possible meeting place yet. They haven't ruled it out. two blocks from a commuter rail station too. If we coordinate ourselves, that'd be a big plus. (...) (26 years ago, 10-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Crispin Richey/Steve Delfino
(...) Okay, we'll do it. We can have a meeting at the store some Sunday night in November after we close the store. We were thinking November 15th 7:00-9:00. How's that sound? Nothing fancy, bring your robot, chat a bit, hows your mum? -- that sort (...) (26 years ago, 13-Oct-98, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

Re: Meeting of the Mindstorms —Patrick Gili
