  Re: K-mart Sucks...

(...) Well I did some of my own research into this problem. I went to three K-marts looking for anything. Acton and Somerville were really decimated. The store in Billerica wasn't bad at all. I got two blue tubs on Friday. I agree K-mart really did (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

  Re: Green line pics

David, I hadn't seen your greenline train until just now. Excellent model. Fantastic work on the articulated thru-way between the cars to acheive no-gap thru curves. Very impressive. later, James Mathis (...) (24 years ago, 19-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.us.ma, lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.trains)

  Silver Armor Sets . . .

In case anyone is interested . . . I saw a whole bunch of the castle sets with the silver plating in KB Toys at the Cambridgeside Galleria. They're going for $5. sun (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.us.ma)

(...) I'm glad to find my suspicions confirmed. I thought it was just that I don't get to the stores as quickly as I would like to but I too have been surprised to hear of older sets still found on shelves elsewhere in the country or of great deals (...)   K-mart Sucks...

To quote a famous movie phrase, "K-mart Sucks". At least the few I checked recently in hopes of finding some good BOGO stuff. I found the pickings slim at best and nothing really worth my time. That leads into my real reason for my post. Why does it (...) (24 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)

(...) Actually I tried something like that-- although I didn't use the 1/4 8-wide thinwall cylinders because the colors were wrong-- instead I tried using 1/4 8-wide 'pie piece' bricks, stacked on top of one another (Though I can't remember if I had (...)
