(...) Guess that I would be one of 'those' people, sitting here staring at row after row of empty PAB cups........ With 3 Lego stores within an hours drive you would think Chicago would be a perfect place. (21 years ago, 23-Jan-04, to lugnet.loc.us.il.chi)

(...) Great idea! (...) I'm going to meet Beth on Sunday, and I'll talk about this with her then. (...) I'm up for it. I think a good location would be Schaumburg - easily accessible via highways, a LEGO store, pretty central to the Chicago suburbs (...) (21 years ago, 23-Jan-04, to lugnet.loc.us.il.chi)

(...) Glad to hear it. Looks like Steve Hassenplug is interested, too. I've contacted Tim and he has told me there are some unaffiliated builders coming to the store, so he can generate interest on that end. Tim proposed we try and meet in late (...) The discussion of a Chicago based LUG has never really come up. I think one of the reasons has been because NILTC took the role of a Chicago Lug and also because MichLUG does a lot with our area too. So, what would everyone (or anyone) think of a (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.loc.us.il.chi)

I'll be in the area for a few hours next week and was wondering if anyone had a list of the current Pick-A-Brick inventory. I want to make sure it's worth the detour. -Duane (21 years ago, 25-Nov-03, to lugnet.loc.us.il, lugnet.loc.us.il.chi)

With all the scare talk on the new gray blocks, I figured that I better 'hit the bricks' today and head over to the Pick-a-Brick store and get what I need to finish my current build. I only needed a few hundred more gray 2x4's so what a better time (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-03, to lugnet.loc.us.il)
