Hi y’all!

I was thinking that a basic floorplan of the next meeting posted on a
page/section of the baylug site might not be such a bad idea. Here’s
why.

1. Given the number of members showing up and knowing what they’ll
bring, it would help with security and storage concerns. We could alter
the space required by us and our stuff.

2. It might minimize the setup time needed for moving the furniture to
the way we want it for when we open up the doors to the public after
trading time.

3. If we get a bit more detailed, we could collaborate on our displays
to make them look far superior. I liked Mark Benz’s airport, but it
would have looked much better somewhere near the trains. This would
have been possible in a display-only area. This would make me feel a
bit bolder about bringing a building or two for a town for the train
layout next time. If I was feeling very bold, I might even bring my MOC
train station wired with its own lighting. And in retrospect, I would
have liked to set up a spaceport too.

I've taken the liberty of posting a possible design for the next
get-possible together in the Fukaya Room at
http://www.baylug.org/space/publicsetup.htm

It's not very detailed but that can certainly change.

Hi, Great input! Here's some misc. comments and ramblings: In defense of Saturday's arrangement, I think we were interested in getting set up, and not spending a lot of time moving the ~80? chairs in the room and then having to re-set up the (...) (25 years ago, 26-May-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)
