Re: Request for consideration of new NG

(...) Heh. This name really makes people sound desperate.... (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

RE: Request for consideration of new NG

So wouldn't that be called a smoochgroup? Would it have to be localized, at least by state? Also, I proposed Lugnet.personals a few posts ago. Mark (...) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.admin.general)

Request for consideration of new NG

Based on some ongoing thoughts in the San Francisco local group, we were wondering if it would be possible to set up a new "singles" newsgroup, perhaps something like: lugnet.people.singles or lugnet.marketplace.personals Thanks.... (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Is this anyone we know??

(...) Of course.. a fantastic tea, best when hot, served with milk. A little sweet, with a hint of cinnimon, but more asian in flavoring than european. (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Is this anyone we know??

I understand, but Bart is not bad. Don't be afraid to ride it. Its pretty reliable, too. Mark (...) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Is this anyone we know??

(...) Answering my own question... A coworker found a website that sells chai. It's an Asian tea: (URL) well-known to those of you on the West Coast. (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Is this anyone we know??

(...) I read the personal ad, but does anyone know what "chai" is? (Do you like good coffee but love chai?) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Is this anyone we know??

(...) Hmmm Not a bad idea, I'll second a creation of a "single and available LEGO freak list" :-) Meeting somebody who is also interested in Lego would be a dream come true. The chance of actually finding someone though would be like finding 10 MISB (...) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Is this anyone we know??

I can just see it now, the lugnet personals, where everyone describes themselves as minifigs. Single Male MF seeks Single Female MF. I am a MF from the Summer 1970's sets. I have brown dots for eyes on my MF head, and always wear my brown MF (...) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

(...) Izzat so? :-) Well, I've got 3 K'Nex sets: the Roller Coaster, the Big Ball Factory, and the radio controlled robot. And I've got well over 70 feet of Hot Wheels track, plus lots of the neat extras like loops and snake track, plus the (...) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Is this anyone we know??

In article (...) By the time I drive to a Bart station, I might as well drive all the way. Bart is too far from Napa. Plus *I'd* be too paranoid to ride on Bart. Even if I brought them, I don't think these: (URL) would offer much protection. :-) (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Is this anyone we know??

(...) The trick is finding people that are geographically close enough to play with your own Lego. Oh sure, Lego has a new webcam now, and you could setup tele-robotic Lego playing, but Cyber-Lego is not really that much fun. (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Is this anyone we know??

(...) I like it. That way we can start seeing cross postings like "Single Male Lego lover seeks...", or "I got the bricks if you got the time" or my personal favorite "Hey baby, want to come up and see my MOC's?" SWLL Mark (24 years ago, 30-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Mindstorms mall tour

AFOL Matchmaking (was Re: Is this anyone we know??)

(...) On the heels of Tom and Suz's LEGOLand wedding, this is - on the surface anyways - a great idea. The problem is male AFOLs probably outnumber female AFOLs about ten to one. Suzanne's got her guy, and the other babes out there can take their (...) (24 years ago, 29-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.people, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Re: Is this anyone we know??
