Lego Blueprints Query & Weetabix Promo House Instructions —Steve Scott
Has anybody seen anything resembling these Lego Blueprints before? Although there is no date on them I reckon that they date back to about 1960 +/- a couple of years. (URL) re the recent discussion about the Weetabix sets, I have put up a boxshot (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Huw had scans of all the blueprints and Weetabix sets on his site... Are they still there Huw? Interesting study of bricks there! Have you noticed that the open bit of the 2x2 inverted slopes varies in size? With some, a 1x2 will completely cover (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) I've scanned the three 1976 Weetabix set instructions but due to bad planning (and very poor IT skills) I did it at too high a resolution. I am in the process of reducing the file size and I will then be emailing them out to all who asked for (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Steve, There are 4 blueprints altogether, you are missing #4 "Astronaut and cosmic ray regenerator". There was in fact a 5th that was in the middle of the UK booklet "Anna Miranda and Mark build a house"* for 2 further models from that story. They (...)       Huw I would be very interested to see these and equally happy to host them on a permanent basis if you don't have the webspace.          Re: Lego Blueprints Query & Weetabix Promo House Instructions —Steve Scott
Very interesting indeed....where can one find this type of info (other than being there at the time)? An interesting feature of the London Bus blueprints was a reference to "New Lego Slimbricks" (plates I presume). In the Ultimate Lego Book time (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Lego Blueprints Query & Weetabix Promo House Instructions —Jon D. Hayward
The first 1/3 height bricks were referred to as plates as they were only available as large-ish 2x8, 4x8, 6x8 and left or right curve-ended 4x8. Slim bricks came along a little later in sizes 1x1, 1x2, 2x2, 2x3 and 2x4 only. ...David Lyall (LEGO (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Problem is, I have so many questions that I may become a pain :( Here's one for instance: Which year did Lego stop printing Pat Pend on the underside of bricks? I assume that it must have been about 1958 (the year the stud/tube coupling mechanism (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) Very impressed with the detail you have gone into on the slope bricks. We could do with more of this kind of information for other parts - see the thread at (URL) regarding the 2x2 round brick, which has at least 5 versions. The 2x2 45deg (...)
