Not necessarily.
They are not sold cause they are too expensive as well.
Witness what happens this week at etoys when they lower the price.
There is a lot of mark up in the process. So plenty of price flexibility if
someone is willing to try.
Money can be made from volume, not just high mark up.
Trouble is many manufacturers seem unwilling to allow discounting of their
products in the hope of having some 'stability' in the channels.
The real question is given that Lego shop@home has no wholesale and retail
markup to contend with, why are its prices still so high?
Why isnt Lego passing on a share of its extra profit to its customers?
