   In the market for yet more bulk bricks, I thought I would do some price comparison between UK and USA prices. It didnt take too long to quickly cut and paste the S@H price lists into Excel and automatically calculate the differences in price. On the (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

     This is all pretty bad when one sees it in black and white - I think I was happier when I only had a sneaking suspicion that I was being ripped off! That said, I'm sure LEGO would say that marketing in Europe is much more expensive as the markets (...) (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.lego.direct)

     (...) I copied this to lugnet.market.theory Shouldnt forget that the UK prices include VAT, whereas their is no sales tax in the US prices. This probably accounts for a sizeable chunk of the difference I also copied in the German prices. These are (...)    (...) I did imply that by saying 'it is on offer', meaning special offer. But anyone thinking of buying it in UK would be mad at our price. It is very annoying that software is so expensive in UK compared to US (even more so when it is a UK (...) (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

   (...) Well, you know... it has to work on a higher voltage. That's gotta be why it costs more. (1) 1 - Heard a story once, dunno if it's true, in which that particular reason was given for why a very expensive piece of software would not install (...)
