A quick estimate shows a 5ft x3ft design would require around 6000 of the
standard 4x2 stud lego bricks.
Lego direct currently sells these at $6.99 a hundred, so you are looking at
$840.
However, Lego Direct is US only at present. So you could buy buckets of mixed
bricks and sort them out, but this would be similar price I guess.
However, as larry pointed out, you probably need to make it at least double
thickness so it wont fall apart. So thats $1680.
Also colour might be an issue?
What colours are on the credit card you want to reproduce?
Things like gold and silver which is common on credit cards dont really exist
in lego. Yellow and grey would be nearest.
So, questions would be similar to Larrys.
Who pays?
What happens to the bricks afterwards?
Does the model remain intact, or get broken up?
Is this a charity event? Could the bricks go to a school or something after?
And why lego?
