Just got the ntlworld offer working with Linux :) (URL) It's fundamentally better than the btinternet offer as it's free day and night, no monthly charge.. nuffin! Oh, and no forced advertising either - hurrah! Tis a bit OT, but I know that a few (...) (24 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Well it can not be worse than Freeserve. It has got so slow since Xmas. It also appears that whenever there is no football on TV, it is virtually impossible to even get a connection. I dread to think what my connection speed is, it must be <<10k/s. (...) (24 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Telewest / Cable and Wireless are offering unlimited on-line time for £10 a month (plus £10 non-internet calls). Not as free as a free thing, but cheaper than my bill would otherwise have been! According to my bill, I would have spent over £200 for (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)
