BTW - neat page, and nice mid-engined variant. Was that made entirely with
pieces from 8448? I was thinking what to do with my spares, but don't care
much for the ideas in the back of the book.

Huw

I tried hard to make it out of standard 8448 pieces.
Obviously the extra 4 cylinders came from another model.
Also the wing mirrors are lego system slopes
And there might be the odd few fastenings that are different
But otherwise all the beams and red parts are 8448.
I didnt really have any other red parts anyway in terms of axles etc.
This was quite a constraint.

It now has a fibre optic light system connecting the ignition plugs (but only
to 8 cylinders!)
