Re: LEGO Droid Devel Kit TV Ad

(...) I saw that later on this morning on Channel 4, I quite liked it - the R2D2 mindstorms robot actually looks quite good dancing to the funky disco music. No actually, that sounds just too surreal, maybe I dreampt it? Richard PS. Much better than (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Lego event in Glasgow

(...) It's only a 12 min train journey for me, so I'll wander along :) If I work out any trades beforehand then I may bring those, or do you mean to bring something to show? For the gift thing I'm thinking of between 100 and 200 normal bricks, (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Bluewater offers

Next weekend (28-31/10) club members can get 5% off in the Bluewater shop, AND get a free ticket for LLW if they spend over £25. That'll make their prices closer to normal :-) But I expect you all know that - you will have received the flyer through (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: I got a Battle Droid!

(...) It has to be one of the best engineered Technic sets ever. I suspect the Destroyer Droid will be even better... I already have 3, but I am not sure if I can afford to keep them all :-) Huw (26 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Asda Update - I was in there Today!

Dear All, ASDA seems to be the place to go at present. My local has Mos Espa Podway reduced to £34.99. I had promised myself not to buy it as I considered it wildly overpriced on release but I weakened. Now I only have to hide it from my wife and (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  8001 Battle Droid price - £19.99

An update of sorts: The shop's name is Ottakar's. The model is of the McIntosh Rose (no idea what this is, any suggestions?). A meet may be a bad idea, as that day is when England beat... sorry, play Scotland at Hampden in the Euro qualifiers, and (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

LEGO Droid Devel Kit TV Ad

This morning on Channel 4 (sometime between 7.15am and 7.30am), there was an advert for the Droid Development Kit. I only caught the end of it, but it basically had quite a few robots running about.   RIS 1.5 Upgrade kit

Has anyone had any success ordering this? I've tried about 3 times from the Lego World Shop (www.legoworldshop.com) and each time it barfs finishing off the order :-( Next up is to see if it will be available retail from Lego shops. Neil. (26 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: I got a Battle Droid!

Got mine in the shop at Legoland Windsor weekend before last. As it was my first trip I was good and didn't go into the shop until we were ready to leave, if I had I don't think I'd have seen much of the park :-) I agree, it's a great kit. Acquiring (...)   Re: UK On-line Auctions

A number of sentiments I share in here. The UK community is big enough to support a fair old exchange and sale of stuff now. With 3+ legofests a year, which seems likely to continue, there is real opportunity though. I auction stuff worldwide every (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
