  Re: Scottish Lego Fest

Seconded. The organization was fantastic, many thanks. I looked forward to the fest for what felt like three ages of the world, however I still did not manage to get anything built. All of the fantastic models have inspired me and now hopefully, for (...) (21 years ago, 29-Sep-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Scottish Lego Fest

I'd like to thank David Graham and family for making the fest on Saturday an excellent event - it was great to catch up with everyone and getting people to describe their favourite creation was a great idea. Being a fan from days of yore, the model (...) (21 years ago, 29-Sep-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Mark Bellis's trains

(...) The maximum wheel centre distance for a rigid Co bogie is 6 studs (as seen on 7745 train set or any 12 Volt motor with its extra wheels). I articulate the wheels on the bogies and hide them with the frames. The diesel locos requiring (...) (21 years ago, 19-Sep-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Lego Shop at the Bullring

(...) It depends on mode of transport. The *closest* shop would be at Legoland Windsor - by car south on the M25 to the M4 and then follow the signs. But their selection is not usually as good as the Brand Retail shops. If you have a Travelcard then (...) (21 years ago, 18-Sep-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Lego Shop at the Bullring

(...) Actually, that isn't quite what was asked. If it takes you 30 mins for 600 bricks, versus, say, 1 min (just dumping them in) for 450 bricks, then in purely financial terms, the extra 33% is questionable. Consider as a very naive measurement, (...) (21 years ago, 18-Sep-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Lego Shop at the Bullring

(...) I did the test at home 603 1x2 bricks when packed and 451 when put in loose.I didn't time how long it took to pack but i think it was about 30 mins. I did stand in Milton Keynes shop and pack two tubs with 1x2 bricks and the staff offered to (...) (21 years ago, 18-Sep-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Brickshelf

Some of the most impressive models I've seen in a while; the space 1999 eagle, the UFO S.H.A.D.O. mobiles, the Boeing 747, the military stuff, superb! I'd love to see the real things. Now if I had that much time and money... (21 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) Richmansworth (...) You could get the train from Watford to Milton Keynes Central. The Lego shop is about 1.5 miles from the station I would guess, you will be able to get a bus or walk if you're feeling energetic. (21 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Lego Shop at the Bullring

(...) Hi, I'm a Brazilian and I've been living here for only one week, so I don't know much about how to go to these Lego shops. Could you help me giving me directions on how I can go from Richmansworth (near Watford) to the closest Lego Shop? Do (...) (21 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Lego Shop at the Bullring

(...) Have you done a study into how long it takes to pack them against how many more you get compared to just shovelling them in. Is it really worth the effort, or is it more the challenge of getting the max. bricks? For 2x1s I wouldn't have (...) (21 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)
