8851 for sale to good home...

Hi all I know I should probably be posting this to buy-sell-trade, but I'd like to plead special circumstances. I recently acquired an 8851 Excavator from a charity shop. It's unopened and in good condition. The box shows some minor wear - the (...) (22 years ago, 29-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  New train catalogue?

I received an order form Shop at Home yesterday and it contained the normal 2002 S@H Holiday catalogue - also included was a large Explore catalogue and a S@H train catalogue (all different page sizes). The train catalogue looks very nice - similar (...) (22 years ago, 29-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Lovers of Lego go barmy

Personally, thought that this was great coverage. I'm currently hunting down a copy of the paper. It's delivered free, so you can't exactly go out and buy one. Now they have printed this article, the Croydon Advertiser or Croydon Post should be much (...) (22 years ago, 25-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Free Shipping?

(...) Wow, nice one! Thanks Jake! Jason J Railton P.S. Shouldn't that be "...we will HONOUR the offer..." if it's to loc.uk? Hey, only kidding :-) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Free Shipping?

(...) Whoops! As some of you may have noticed, we accidentally sent out an email to our UK customers with the wrong subject line. However, since this was our mistake, we will honor the offer for free shipping. To qualify, just call up Shop at Home (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: What's the weirdest LEGO item you own?

My weirdeist part is coming from LLW following a visit with RLD in August. I found what I thought to be a broken part. I was wrong, it's a badly moulded one instead. I consider it as a "treasure". I don't have any bi-color (mixed in the building (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Free Shipping?

(...) Unless it’s a sop to their dealers, I think its crazy that they don't offer free shipping as standard for larger purchases. I can buy Lego from www.argos.co.uk and get free shipping if I spend over UKP100 [$154.70][1]. I can get a next day (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Free Shipping?

I'm not sure what the e-mail you received was referring to, but I ordered the ISD and the Williams F1 in the United States right when the ISD became available, and they didn't charge me any shipping for the order. Note that nowhere on the site that (...) (22 years ago, 23-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Lovers of Lego go barmy

(...) 'a hundred visitors' and 'lego artists' tickled me :-) (...) different (...) On Saturday Craig said it would be in the Post and not the Advertiser, I think. Huw (22 years ago, 23-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)
