Hi folks, Just browsing the stores yesterday and saw 4103 + 4105 in John Lewis Kingston, priced 9.99 and 14.99 UKP respectively. Bentalls also had 4103 at 7.99 UKP. Shame that they get 4105 in the US for only $9.99 (URL) (22 years ago, 16-Jul-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Croydon Lego convention

Since you are unable to attend on the 12th October in Croydon, how about if I travel over for Legoworld? I don't drive, so I'd be unable to bring along any of my large models, but I'm sure I'll be able to fit a few things in a rucksack. Please let (...)   Re: Croydon Lego convention

(...) My suggestion for the calendar's placement would go to .loc.eu, with a link in all european .loc groups (purely because .eu has little movement of its own) As for the method, what about a "fill-in form", located in .eu, where whomever wishing (...)   Re: Croydon Lego convention

  Re: Croydon Lego convention

You shouldn't worry. The general public are nice. As is the case with antique markets and toy fairs, things don't tend to get stolen. Unsavoury types have other things to do! To be on the safe side, I will be bringing along a number of non-Lego (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jul-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Croydon Lego convention

Hello all, I agree with Tony, this is excellent news. Craig, could you let us know about getting/bringing tables, as I can't wait to show everyone my latest MOCs. The only thing that worries me is the 'open to the public' bit, are the public (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jul-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Croydon Lego convention

I have been looking to organise a Lego convention in the Croydon area for some time now and I have finally found a suitable venue, roughly two minutes walk from the main line station and very near the centre of town.   Airfix Betta Bilda vs. Lego comparisons on Brickshelf

Airfix is a British company known for making plastic scale models. Back in the 1960's, they also released a building toy called Betta Bilda. It was advertised as a companion to their line of HO & OO railway models. There are several similarities (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Is anybody here collecting Best-Lock sets?

OK, here's the story... A misguided relative bought me a Best-Lock set about 18 months ago (honest!!) and it's been gathering dust in my garage ever since.
