  Re: NBLTC - baseboard standards

(...) Thanks Jason. I don't think we've even considered damage to the tracks when stood on end. Your suggestion would add a little to the baseboard width though, which was ideally going to fit through a domestic doorway without tilting. If we kept (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: NBLTC - baseboard standards

(...) I've got a suggestion about the boards - particularly for those who want to permanently lay one out. Keep the ends of the track half a straight in from the edges of your board. Then, add a loose straight when you bring them together. This (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Got my S@H catalogue

I noticed the S@H is for January, will there be one for February? No news of the proper 2002 catalogue? No Lego Cliub magazine, it must have gone with the Lego adventurers. The five train wagons have gone up to £59, £55 in December. I liked the idea (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: NBLTC - baseboard standards

Darth Vader a snip at £35!

Well, at least compared to The Entertainer! The Crawley branch has all new sets, apart from HP, at vastly inflated prices. All sets, except the £3 were at least £1 more than S@H. Guess how much they wanted for Lord Vader? £42! Can you believe it! (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Latest look in Toys 'R' Us

I didn't know there were quite so many Racers sets in the new line-up. There's a lot more single pull-back motor cars (£2-99) there now. They mostly contain a few of the new shaped pieces with printing on - a 2x4 panier pack or flared wheel arch, (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Lego And Cookies - What a combination

Note that this is _NOT_ the same tin as last time... Now the tin is taller / thinner but uses the same City design. The sets on offer are the same as before though: 2849 Gyrocopter; 2880 Jeep; 2884 Microlight; 2886 Formula 1 (boxed version of 2088). (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)
