Re: 3 Events worth of Photos...

(...) Janey, thanks for posting these pics. This project is really sofa-king coool. Like I said in a previous post, I didn't really understand how big it was until I flew over it a few months back on a trip to Winnipeg. (...) I was doing my Rick Moranis 'Dark Helmet' routine but it wouldn't fit over my large noggin. (...) I think I'll work on not breaking your stuff... let's see--one train show and one hobby show and so far so good :) Dave K (21 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.loc.ca.on, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on.ham)

(...) So you're saying you weren't walking around with the helmet on top of your head. Ok, if you say so. Actually Darth's neck isn't quite right. I built it the same as I do for the figures with air tanks, but Darth doesn't have an air tank. This (...) It wasn't that I was tryig to do it wrong, it's just that the head was looking straight out and I wanted it to turn a bit--and you know that sometimes your maxi-figs have a difficult time turning their heads when they're looking straight out. I'm neither the greatest photographer nor the greatest writer of captions, so keep that in mind as you view these: (URL) in advance for any embarassment or insults I may have caused with the captions.   Hobby Show stuff

Just a quick note that if you have any monorail track, can you bring it next week to the hobby show? I have some, but probably require some more straight peices and some curves and some... well bring it all, if you have the room. :) See some of you (...)   Re: Important Hobby Show info

(...) Thanks Dave! (...) Is this how it happened last year? I know we ran into problems the first year when the passes were left with "security". So if you keeping them and meeting people one by one works better, then that's excellent. (...) It will (...) (21 years ago, 24-Oct-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

Re: More Important Hobby Show info

(...) I'll bring the blue just for covering the tops of the tables and a little overhang If they out us where we were the first year, then we only have 3 sides exposed anyway--the wall is on the 4th side.   More Important Hobby Show info

We have a 30x30 display area and my table getting guy can get his hands on 10ish tables. Each table is 8 feet long So we may be a little short on the perimeter--1 or 2 extra tables would be nice. If not, then more room for the people to walk around (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

  Important Hobby Show info

I just received all the paperwork for the hobby show. First, to get the 'special rate' for electricity, the forms must be signed and sent in by Oct 20th. K, I'll handle that. Secondly, the passes must be picked up on Thursday between 8 a.m. and 10 (...) (21 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

  Re: Hobby Show--huh??

(...) To the best of my knowledge no group has ever been paid to attend The Hobby Show specifically. I can't speak to other shows, but for this one I'm pretty sure there has only ever been two basic types of booths: 1) Club booths - like us, or the (...)
