Toys r Us Clearance —John Battcock
Hey Folks, Was reading FBTB last night and came across a post regarding this subject. Same sets as before however UCS Yoda is half price (84.95). Great way to build that tan inventory! John Battcock (21 years ago, 14-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Robert Horvath
(...) Run to TRU Canada! I went to the TRU in Kitchener, ON today to think about buying the UCS Yoda (for parts) because you would get a free large Creator bucket. When I got there they were on for half of the $84.95 ($42.48) in addition to almost (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Tim Strutt
(...) Thanks for the heads up on the sale. I rushed right over and even bumped into another AFOL from ParLUGment as I rushed in. The other AFOL picked up the Rebel Blockade Runner for 50% off as well as the Yoda which I also got for 75% off. Sweet (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Arnold Chang
If you live by Greater Vancouver area and you have missed this sales earlier, you may try to run to TRU located in Coquitlam (on Lougheed) as it remains to have at least 7 or 8 copies of Yodas (CAN$42.48) and two dozen of Cloud Cars ($3 something) (...)         Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Allan Bedford
(...) I ran... I ran... I bought... I bought. :) (...) My haul was one Yoda, 2 cloud cars, 1 Final Duel II, and two Star Wars minis. Just enough to get the free 500 piece bucket. So all of that for less than $68 tax included! Probably my most (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Gail Meagher
(...) Wow....Wow....Wow. All SW LEGO at 50% off (except the stuff already marked down, that was 75% off total). Jean-Marc was kind enough to give me a ride to the only TRU in the province this evening. The first time I've shopped with another AFOL. (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Jean-Marc Détraz
(...) Gail you forgot to mention that by splitting the bills every $50 you got 5 free 500 pieces buckets... Thanks to my wife who read the heads-up message, she "draged" me to the TRU (I didn't resist too much though... ;~)) I got 7 free 500 pieces (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Calum Tsang
(...) You don't need to split them! The system automatically allows for it, at least at the TRUs in Toronto. (...) If someone would like to sell/trade me four of the long grey slope wedges from this set, I would really appreciate it. I got: 7153 (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Jean-Marc Détraz
(...) Do you mean that I could have 3 free buckets with the tantive + one mini? If so I'm gonna go back and try! JM (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Calum Tsang
(...) It should work like that, yup. They ran through all of Derek's purchases at once and checked in the three buckets and they all went through reimbursed free. We ran out of free buckets in the store we were at :) Calum (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —John Battcock
Gail and Jean-Marc Thanks for not going too crazy at the Mic Mac TRU. I did my part today by picking up 4 Yodas as well as an assortment of smaller SW sets. The Creator buckets are almost gone though. John Battcock (21 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Chris Gray
(...) Ok, dumb question (poll?) time: what individual got the most Yoda's, and how many was that? I know two (me being one) that got 8 each. (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Calum Tsang
(...) None for me. How about Jango Fett Slave 1's? I got four. Calum (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Gail Meagher
It isn't in the LEGO aisle, but a friend of mine found a LEGO board game (TRU in Vancouver on Broadway): (...) From 1997. I don't know where they have been sitting for so long. My friend assured me there are not Timmy's in it. Gail (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Andrew Keeping
Does anyone know how long those clearance prices are on for? I stopped in at the TRU in Newmarket ON today and picked up quite a few bargains :-)) Unfortunately not all of the SW sets are included in the markdown. They had a couple of the new (...)          Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Calum Tsang
(...) I think it was to friday this week (June 27th) but I could be wrong. If anyone knows where there's an AT-TE in TRU in Toronto, I'd like to know :) Calum (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Calum Tsang
(...) This is a VERY dangerous thing. We did the same sale today in Toronto with Derek Raycraft and John Guerquin. Another Lego fan means increased spending. The guilt disappears when you have some else with the same vices. :) It's like smokers (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Toys r Us Clearance —Chris Gray
(...) Hmm. I'm not sure I like that analogy. I think playing with Lego is a healthy, positive thing to do. But, it definitely is true that shopping for Lego with other Lego fans is hard on the credit card (and the space!) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)
