Anything good in Boxing Day sales? —Gail Meagher
Happy Boxing day, Living in a laid-back area of the country, I shovelled snow today rather than shopped, as our stores don't open until tomorrow. The Walmart flyer has two buckets half price. Has anyone found anything else worth heading out for? (...) (22 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.loc.ca)

(...) Not a thing. I haven't driven the car for two full days now. Glorious! Plus, I got *almost* enough buckets and tubs for Xmas from my wife and family, so there was much sorting to be done this year. But Gail, I was thinking of you a couple (...)      (...) From what I saw here in Ottawa today, not much but TRU did have all the Orient Expedition sets, most of Basketball sets as well as all the Star Wars except minis. Regretably, they were not on sale but prices are better than S@H if you factor (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.loc.ca)

(...) Nothing particularily great here in Toronto. Nothing but those two tubs were on sale at Walmart. I ended up with a wireless router and a 128MB CF card for my camera, though. The pre-Christmas sales at TRU were incredible for Soccer and (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.loc.ca)

We just went to Canadian Superstore in Calgary Countryhill store. They still have tons of medium to small Harry Potter and StarWar lego, 50% off. I don't know what the store will be down east, maybe Loblaws? Here are some we picked up: Harry Potter (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Anything good in Boxing Day sales? —Bradley Dale
(...) Zellers recently cut the price of the Bionicle Bohrok series down to about $4.97, half of what they used to cost. I bought a 8210 Nitro Bike GTX (a 1995 Technic set!) for $0.01 at a Zellers a couple days ago, but it was probably the only one (...) (22 years ago, 29-Dec-02, to lugnet.loc.ca)

(...) I hit Walmart today and they have about 1/3 of the LEGO display space they had before Christmas. And no new sets. :-( I guess I've missed it by now, but out of curiosity, which buckets/tubs were on sale at Walmart? Play well. Tim Strutt (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

(...) Walmart And no new sets. :-( (...) Hi there, they are the 7831 creator buckets. Lots of 1x1's & 2x2's. I was out yesterday and noticed they are still marked down. Lawrence (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Maybe not very Boxing Day Sale(ish) but my local Home Hardware has all toys at 50% off. Although their Lego selection is poor, to say the least, I did get a couple 7103 Jedi Duels for $7.49 each ($14.99 each regular), 11 cents per piece including (...)
