Re: Envelopes are NOT enough (was Re:...never receive your package?

Re: Envelopes are NOT enough (was Re:...never receive your package?

(...) Most of the packages I receive are person-to-person and in the $20-$40 range. When I talked to my mailman last week, he agreed with me that there seemed to be a much larger group of packages getting tagged by Customs recently. <shrug> Maybe (...) (...) Maybe it's just us Albertans - the feds don't like that we don't have a provincial sales tax. :-) Seriously, I suspect it's because Kevin's stuff is below Cdn$50 in value and is coming from a private individual who is correctly taking the (...) (...) I've noticed lately (last 2-3 months?) that everything coming from the US has been tagged for GST. Have any other Canucks noticed this, or it is "pick on James" month at Canada Customs? James (24 years ago, 11-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.shipping, lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Lego Display at Scarbourgh Center

(...) I'm fairly sure in some of my literature on it, it was refered to as LRT, in comparison to the Subway. Remember, this was before the Harbourfront line was approved... I know UTDC refered to it as you did, but I think the TTC refered to it as (...) (24 years ago, 11-Oct-00, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)

The TTC called it the LRT when it was introduced (believe me, I know...also, if you don't trust me, look in "Not A one Horse Town"...I have that and "Passengers must not ride on fenders"). (...)
