(...) Of the four 2870's I bought on Saturday, three have grey-blue outlining on the pink torsos, the other one has black outlining. Anyone else found this? I think the black outlined one looks better. Cheers Richie Dulin (23 years ago, 19-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

  Re: Lots of lego

(...) G'day, Well, I can't speak for Sydney, but down here in Melbourne there's several second-hand toy shops. [and yes, I am the reason that at least one of the stores rarely has lego on the shelves :) ] Should you wish, I'm sure there's quite a (...) (23 years ago, 17-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

(...) After Paradisa 2870, maybe anything is possible. (...) Pity, it seemed to sell well. So it should, being half the price it is in the US. (...) Maybe ask Mr.Ozbricks to source some soccerettes. (23 years ago, 17-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

(...) I haven't seen red/white buses for ages. There are some famous teams in red and white, could this be the Man Utd effect ? (23 years ago, 17-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

  Toys-r-us Chatswood 16/4/1

Just to let you know, the $9.97 4225's and the $29.97 4229's that we cleaned out at Erina on Saturday, were at TRU Chatswood yesterday, along with the $50 World on wheels set. Also, there were two sets of 9V points/turnouts/switches. They had a fair (...) (23 years ago, 17-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

(...) <snip> (...) Angus, I'll second Dave's suggestions. I think it really depends on the age of your kids... if they're preschool aged, go for the small red bucket. My daughter got one of these for her third birthday (about three weeks ago), and (...) (23 years ago, 17-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

  Re: Lots of lego

(...) Hi Angus, Have a look at <set:4213>, on sale at Toys 'r' Us for $50. It's got heaps of basic bricks, doors, windows, car parts and so on. All the basic sets come with little "ideas" booklets, but no specific instructions. Big W also has a (...) (23 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

Angus, try purchasing a few buckets, Basic or if any still around... Freestyle Sets. (...) them (...) Well, if you can get some of the basic bulk sets (4219, 4229, 3033) at sale prices, they're pretty good value. Otherwise you've gotta spend every free hour searching toyshops, garage sales, markets ........ ROSCO (23 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)
