Re: Names of things. —Ross Crawford
(...) Ah, but what *you* see on sale and what *we* see on sale are two very different things! ROSCO (22 years ago, 11-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Names of things. —Larry Pieniazek
(...) "on sale" in this context means "available for sale in the stores" not "discounted heavily". The point here is, why ask for a 2000 set to be reissued? It was in stores not that long ago at all. It doesn't make any sense to me when there are (...) (22 years ago, 11-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Names of things. —Ross Crawford
(...) Which is the context I assumed in the post... (...) Well on that point I probably agree, however I think Ben might've meant "show up at retail somewhere again", as flash speeders have been pretty thin on the ground here for a while. ROSCO (22 years ago, 11-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Names of things. —Benjamin Whytcross
(...) Yep, you got that one right...I haven't seen one in a store for several months...let alone seeing one on sale. [In fact, I think the last time I saw one was about Feb this year ! ] Either LA didn't order many in or there was a small production (...) (22 years ago, 12-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Names of things. —Richie Dulin
(...) An Australian sense of humour, I suspect. Although the smiley should have been a give away. (...) Same reason I can sign off a post with 'Quester for a 40% off Imperial Star Destroyer'. Sure, it's not actually going to happen*, but it would be (...) (22 years ago, 11-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Names of things. —Travis Matheson
(...) I saw a few in the Horsham Toyworld a few months back, but not on sale at all, just regular shelf price. But I haven't been in there for some time, but they may still be there, I'll / have someone else, have to check, for them Wouldn't mind (...) (22 years ago, 11-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Names of things. —Ross Crawford
(...) Talk to a BUG - there was a toyworld up there somewhere that had em for around $4 in june. ROSCO (22 years ago, 11-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Names of things. —Allister McLaren
(...) I was down at the Toyworld Suerstore in Springwood (Brisbane) about 4 weeks ago and they still had cases and cases of them, and I think the Myer centre Toyworld might even still have some. Still $3.99. A bargain. mmm, wouldn't mind a few more (...) (22 years ago, 11-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Names of things. —Allister McLaren
Just confirming that Toyworld in the Myer centre (Brisbane) does indeed have the Island Racers in large quantities for $3.99. Just went and picked up a few. How many do you want? Allister. (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Names of things. —Travis Matheson
(...) gee, decisions, decisions. 6 or 7 would be good. yes, 7, 7 works well with me ;-) please drop me a line at trav@centercom.com.au to discuss payment methods I guess, unless you are just being generous! When I rule the globe all Australians will (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Names of things. —Benjamin Whytcross
(...) Well, I THINK Broadmeadows toy-kingdom has them at $4.99 [from memory]...though if you don't need more than a half dozen or so, I have spare white epaulets here [and possibly yellow, red, brown and blue.] That said, another few Barons would (...)          Re: Names of things. —Travis Matheson
(...) well, it's not so much need as it is want, but hey, see what comes. (...) the new 2003 lineup contains a few adventures sets so hopefully there will be a few more small polybag size sets coming out (...) please fell free to count Xavier Prime (...)
