S@H is finally here! —Zac Soden
Well here I am, typing a post to lugnet and browsing the Australian S@H catalogue. One of the first things I checked was the shipping prices and was shocked to see that they want 60 bucks from us for a medium sized order. What a rip off! A heap of (...)      Problem is if we all combine orders there is much more chance we will get hit with customs duty etc. Shipping costs are going to be a problem, the only way i see to help with this is to have the warehouse in Australia. But that ain't going to happen (...) (23 years ago, 3-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) You'll probably get hit with customs anyway and probably GST, I can't see any indication that GST is included in these prices (which probably explains the apparent discrepancies in set prices b/t different currencies). GST is 10% of (order (...) (23 years ago, 4-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

I have never been charged duty on any of my LEGO imports and several have gone well over $200. But i do believe my luck will run out. Also some of the discrepencies in price are way more than 10% (This was the first reason that popped into my head) (...) (23 years ago, 4-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Well shipping costs are high, But no higher that if you were dealling with someone in Europe ie. EBay etc. But the prices make up for it Metroliner $229.95 (US$149) Guarded Inn $38.50 (US$25) Rebel Blockade Runner $305.95 (US$199.95) I am happy -- (...)      I find interesting is the shipping rates, that we will pay, the amount is based on the overall cost not the weight of the items.
