Similar idea without the tokens--I spotted some happy little vegemite filled
tumblers (like the nutella ones) the other day. There must be Vegemite • teatowels
and so forth readily avialable at gift shops.

I'll check it out!

I'm still keen on the MOC idea,
but I don't have enough curved pieces for a stubby holder I'm afraid...

Maybe we could give the Todd and Suz minifigs all the gear they need for a • LegOz
honeymoon (someone builds the ute, someone builds the barbie, someone builds • the
dodgy Gold Coast hotel, someone builds the tiny Sydney Opera House and Uluru • to
use as backgrounds for their happy snaps).

A MOC would be nice, but it'd have to be done fairly quickly - I'm leaving on
April 24. Any takers?

I have a realy great minifig scale UTE design I did in ldraw.
Unfortunatly I dont have the pieces and getting them would probobly be hard
(and/or expensive) If there is anyone who has lots of older type town car pieces
(like car doors) that wants the design, let me know. I have done it in red but
any color would work.

ok, here are the parts required to make this ute: (main refers to the main color of
the ute)
2 main 2 x 2 tile with wheel holder pins
4 main wheel hubs to suit
4 black tyres to suit hubs
1 main 2 x 4 plate mudguard with studs
1 main slope 3 x 4 mudguard
2 trans clear 1 x 1 plate
1 main 1 x 2 plate
1 main 2 x 12 plate
2 main 4 x 2 plate
3 main 2 x 2 plate
1 main 2 x 4 plate
2 main 1 x 1 plate
2 tr red 1 x 1 plate
2 main 1 x 4 brick
1 main pair car doors 1 x 3
1 main car steering wheel
1 main car roof holder piece (1 x 4 x 2 with sticking up hinge)
1 main car roof (4 x 4)
1 tr clear winscreen (1 x 4 on top, 2 x 4 on bottom)
1 1 x 4 x 2 rollbar

for the tray edges I used (there might be other solutions)
5 main 1 x 2 x 1 thinwall
2 main 1 x 1 x 1 corner thinwall (I dont know how hard these are to come by)

If anyone has the parts to make this let me know and I will make up some
instructions.

hmmm, mabie I could rebuild my technic 8448 scale ute and send it... But then I
would loose half my collection :)

PS, this design is the same one that featured in my datsville petrollium MOC. (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

(...) I can give this a burl -- probably don't need the instructions. Where do you fit the roll-bar? Do people think that a traditional 4-wide car is okay, or would a 6 or 8 wide be better? I'm leaning toward the 8-wide option myself -- they can (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)
