Yet another fantastic effort. I am turning various shades of
baseplate-green with envy over the recent fests. The UK lot are planing one
at the beginning of March which I will be attending, but I do miss all my
Aussie buddies <sniff>.

March...that's too far away. Just think, it's just over a year since four
brave souls faced a journey through ABS melting heat to get together for the
first time in early Feb 2000. In contrast to the heat of the day, Arctic was
the new theme on the shelves.
Who would have thought that a year later, 6 hardy souls from two other >capitals would travel for a combined fest. It's all on again in 4 months as >well.

Bravo!

I think it's strange over here that "distance" is used as an excuse for less
frequent gatherings. Although, having experienced some of the most
diabolical traffic jams you could ever imagine (think of the volume of
traffic on the M4 in Sydney funnelled down one lane) I can begin to
understand their hesitation. Still, the devotion to the mighty brick knows
no bounds!

With the sudden prevalence of MB grey at recent fests I have gradiose
visions of an 11 foot long starship loitering with intent in the not too
distant future. Be warned!

As a man who builds on a big scale, I'm sure you would appreciate the Valhalla
and her escort in the polystyrene (and ABS).

My chin still hurts from when it hit the ground! Totally fantastic I must
say. My purist blood is slowly diluting, but it'll be a while before I
purchase *that* brand, as I want to exhaust all LEGO avenues first. Richard
has certainly opened my eyes to the possibilities, though.

Keep up the good work, all. Looking forward to seeing you all when I come
back (whenever that is).

Hopefully sooner rather than later, but we know Pete.C Collection II (UK)
incrementally grows by the day.

I fear it will be later rather than sooner. With the way things are going
over here (the British notwithstanding) we're having a blast and doing lots
of travel. Work for both of us is going ballistic too. But in the words of
Big Arnie, we'll be back.

The collection is growing, thanks to some recent sales, and I'm penning out
some details of a couple of projects I have in mind. One day I'll get around
to updating my website and posting some pics of Legoland Windsor. Kris is
taking me to Billund in March for my birthday too!! So the digicam will be
smoking after that little adventure.
