Yes, it's used exactly like this in 8868.
The advantage is that you can nicely fasten the tubing with
1x1 tiles with clip (http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/2555).

| Yeah i saw those pieces on in the instructions for the Claw rig but i thought they were solid plastic ie. not flexible. But there you go...
