I added a Pneumatic Claw ( like the Airtech claw rig ) to my 8462 secondary
model today, and learnt something very useful. The older flex tubing, like
that is used in the 8462, is very handy when used as tubing extenders. I
used two pieces running up the back of the arm to transfer air from the base
up to the claws pneumatic cylinder.  I am sure somebody else has already
thought of this but i was pretty proud of myself at the time.. :-))

I have to say this pneumatic stuff is pretty cool, i want one of those
8868's...
Better start saving i guess :-(

(...) Yes, it's used exactly like this in 8868. The advantage is that you can nicely fasten the tubing with 1x1 tiles with clip ((URL) Jürgen Stuber <stuber@loria.fr> (URL) (24 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.technic)

(...) Cool...I did something very similar with an 8462 as well. The set seems to have all the pieces needed for a "claw truck"; too bad the alternate model isn't something like this... (...) Yes, I would highly recommend that one ( (URL) ). (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.technic)
