Any chance of seeing if there's a spare adventurer or technic stand?

Just went down to the local Safeway and asked my stepson (the duty manager
at the time) about the stands, and they have 4 of them unused, so he put
them all aside for me, and hopefully I will get them all. :-)  That will
hopefully solve the shelf problem (which model do I pull apart so I have
shelf space for a new one) for a while.

Yep..good sets, and BIG boxes. I got some about a week ago, and more • Monday
night. If the sets weren't on a promo cardboard stand, it may be possible • to
get the one from the safeway you got your sets from...they are 3 parts: • the
stand, the shelf, and the big picture back/top, and come in the same • carton
as the sets. [but from personal experience...they can be a real BU***R to
put together...

Just got a set from my local Safeway tonight.  They were in one of the • fixed

I had been expecting.

Yay! got my sets yesterday, think I was the first one to buy them :) • Well
my
woolies didn't have many though, maybe more out back I dunno but if • that's
all they got then, wow!  They are a great price in my opinion!  If • anyone
needs any, let me know!  Otherwise give Woolies headoffice a call and • they
will tell you where the closest place to you is that will stock them. • Best
of luck...

Has anyone seen the chrome sets in Melbourne yet?  I have searched • several
Safeway stores here with no success.

These are advertised in this week's Purity (Woolworths in S. Tas) • grocery
catalogue and hence all the stores here that didn't already have them • (i.e.
most of them, it would seem*) theoretically now do.  I'm guessing that • there
would be an equivalent weekly catalog for Safeway and so it's probably • worth
checking out?!

Good luck!

*Between the two of us I think Frances and I checked every Purity in
Southern Tas last week and the only store that had them was Sorell • (Frances'
initial find).  As it is now an advertised line they all should have • the
stock as of yesterday.

The subject line says it all, check them out now! Also the 8002 Destroyer droid is at $78m which is not as good a bargain. Martin (24 years ago, 13-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
