Unfortunately,the smaller stores aren't the goldmines you think, I can vouch
for that since I've been to most of them in NSW and Paul and I together have
covered a lot of VIC, we've been comparing notes and although something might
turn up, it's presence is usually related to some box damage or potential
ravaging having occurred, nothing to turn off an AFOL (unless your one of
those cardboard collectors) but something which will prevent parents buying
presents or it could be the silly price attached.
At a toystore in Shepparton, the owner said they get phone calls all the time
from people looking for sets like the technic forklift etc.
As well there's the pirate ship rustler who rang every toystore requesting
pirate related sets, a sound investment I guess if the prices on ebay are
the going rate.
I'm sure it's the online auctions that have meant most goldmines have been
mined. But there's no harm looking 8^)
