Hi everyone,
Great work on your site Pete: are there more any more pictures from LegOz to
download?
Here's some commentary to go with the images:
*Account of an attack on the mostly peaceful Vill-Idge People*
<<Brikwars04>> Faced with more muscular bodies than they'd ever seen at the
Young Minifigs Christian Association, the San Francisco Speeder split in two.
Its back-end, the Funky Chicken, took up a position on a hillock. Knowing that
he had a harpoon, and not knowing what to do with his harpoon, the Leatherman
fired it at Commander Bond's Mech, which was conveniently in range. He then
bailed out from the now useless Funky Chicken, along with his colleague the
Cop. Together they sang "Macho Man" and waited for the approaching terror.
Meanwhile, the Red Indian Chief bravely sped towards the wreckage of the Vill-
Idge People cruiser "Recruit". En route he got off one shot from his Very
Silly Gun, blasting the canopy from Commander Bond's Yellow Speeder. At that
point, Commander Bond's Mech tugged on its entangling harpoon cable, pulling
the Funky Chicken into the path of the Chief and putting a permanent end to
the Vill-Idge People's onslaught. All that remained of the San Francisco
Speeder was its engine block, which was left strangely intact. Commander
Bond's troops advanced through the devastation.
<<ABBA in battle position>> Suddenly, the engine block broke apart, revealing
one of the most powerful foces in the galaxy. ABBA. From very tight quarters
(you get used to that on the road) they emerged and swiftly armed themselves
with a few crossbows that were lying in the debris. To the notes of that
famous martial air "Fernando" the fabulous four-piece ferociously fired on a
medic and an engineer (they could sing, but they were gutless). This attack
cost them dearly as the enraged Bond Girls shot down their lead vocals and
guitar.
The deaths of Bjorn, Agnetha and, to a lesser extent, Frida angered Benny no
end. He fired his harpoon gun straight at the enemy general, Commander Bond
himself. The well aimed dart went straight up Bond's blaster, and the scourge
of the galaxy, in shock, collapsed. His cunning plan was rapidly coming
unstuck.
A menacing figure confronted Benny. It was Scary, Something Scary, Bond's
secretive lieutenant. But no malevolent henchman could stop Benny. Benny could
dance, Benny could jive and Benny was having the time of his life. This was no
Waterloo, and Benny would not surrender. The history book on the shelf had
repeated itself for the last time. The two foes traded punch for punch. And
punch for punch. And punch for punch. And for all we know, they're still at it.
<<Brikwars05>> The Construction Worker leapt out of his damaged speeder. While
he sang "Go West" to his departed comrade he attempted to repair the burnt out
husk of his port engine with the only tool to hand, a shovel. <Takes off,
skids wildly into undergrowth and the few remaining infantry, explodes in
cockpit>
<<Brikwars09>>
Notes on using freaky things on wheels.
An unfortunate side-effect of using a freaky thing on wheels is that if it has
pulls up near some friendly locals, sometimes a nasty Mech like Phil will fire
at it. Then the freaky thing on wheels will explode. The friendly locals will
not be so friendly anymore, as they will be dead.
<<Brikwars14: Ahab cops a nasty blow to the head which renders his attack boat
inoperable and forces him to seriously rethink his allegance with
Bond.>> "These Vill-Idge People are slippier than Carnation Milk on a Laminex
TableTop," he cursed.
<<Brikwars16: A Battletrak gets taken out by frendly fire. Well, he did get in
the way!>> Note the stamina and acrobatic skill of the Yellow Castle Guard.
Hope all this will be useful for the final account.

| (...) <much snippage of worth battle account> Thanks, Dave! I love the account of Benny and Something Scary! It was LOL all over the place at the "dance, jive, having the time..." comment. I might have to rethink the page layout to incorporate it (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
