Report on LegOz 2000-09-17-4218 (The Great Southern Expeditionary Force)

The Great Southern Expeditionary Force went forth last Sunday. Mel, Tim, and Kerry farewelled their non-Lego significant others in the misty dawn light of Brisbane. The LTV (Lego Transport Vehicle) gave a throaty roar and the perilous journey (...) (25 years ago, 19-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Yay for Duplo Trains!!

(...) I'm much more interested in track layout rather than engine/wagon modelling, and Duplo seems to me to be better for this. (...) 2737 is supposed to be continued in the new range -- maybe some of these will turn up (fingers crossed). --Dave L (25 years ago, 19-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.duplo)

  Re: Yay for Duplo Trains!!

(...) Wow - good price, I had to pay full price for mine a couple of years ago at $271.95 (ouch), but it's a great set. It's good to see more adults enthused about Duplo trains, most AFOLS refer to them in context with their kids, sure my son plays (...)   Re: Shell Lego promo sets

(...) I'm not really collecting figs, since my collection is almost wholly technic. But at the moment, I only have about 30 figs, twelve of which are soccer! I thought that this might be a good chance to expand my fig-numbers somewhat. later, David (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: The Lord Nelson at Port Block

(...) Not that I know of, although there are at least three Lord Nelsons in London at present (only one of which, I might add, is a publican). Anyways, I've been trying to think of catchy slogans for the pub. The best I've come up with so far is (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Shell Lego promo sets

What a bummer! I went to New Zealand in Dec last year, I didn't get a computer until May this year, if I had known, I would have grabbed a few of these sets since all over NZ they were available... I bought mine out in the country on the way from (...) (25 years ago, 18-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: The Lord Nelson at Port Block

(...) Publess. That's got to be about THE most desolate word in the Australian lexicon. Mind you, if the locals let it get torn down, it probably wasn't much of a pub in the first place, eh? <<GD&R>> In the meantime, I have added a single quick pic (...)   Yay for Duplo Trains!!

I'm a convert -- these are great! Finally bought <set:2745> at TRU for $140 on the weekend: I love it! The train is really fun, and since the set contains about $100 worth of track it's pretty good value. I'm most interested in setting up the (...) G'day, NOPE...I haven't seen one, but a mate I went to school with, and who works for Shell said that the Servo in Warnambool got some of the set and he got himself one from there [and that they sold out really quickly :( ] If I ever see one [or (...) (25 years ago, 17-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Hi, all. Just thought I'd pass on - visited TRU at Chadstone on the weekend, and they have a heap of new stuff - trains, football, the new X-wing...
