Lego fans : My girlfriend and I will be heading up to Sydney (from Melb.) for a week during the Olympics. We'll be busy watching the fencing a lot of that time, but lurking in my mind is the possibility that somewhere in Sydney is someone selling (...) Having been on holidays this week, I've had time for more Lego building than normal. So, having just finished building the 7191 UCS X-Wing, I thought I'd write a short review. Firstly go take a look at the photo off the box: (URL) you will see what (...) (25 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

I checked my local Toyworld, and they said that the set wasn't available to them. I'm wondering if this is true for the rest of Australia, or just for my neck of the woods. If it's just for my neck of the woods, I think I'll just try to order that (...) (25 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

My husband (a keen cyclist) asked me if I could build a geared bicycle with a derailleur using Lego. Your thoughts? Obviously, I will need a fair bit of chain, but the new Power Puller may solve that problem. The cluster will need to have at two (...) (25 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

 | | Technics in the new catalogue
|
|
So, Technics heads, what do you reckon about the new catalogue? For a Technics set, the 8458 Silver Champion appears to be more about looks than engineering. Indeed, it looks very similar to the 8445 Formula 1 Racer apart from the colour (I don't (...) (25 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
