  Re: Yellow BURPS

(...) Yeh, I've got a handful of those. I may auction some off soon enough--I love the blue BURPs and baseplates, but I never have any real use for them. Perhaps someone else will--I have three 6190s mint-in-trashed-boxes to part out this summer. (...) (25 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

RE: We should draft an "official" letter to Lego Australia

(...) How about: Most of us have continued to build on the collections we had as children, while others have only recently begun to collect Lego sets, either through having lost/given away our original collection, or not having had the opportunity (...) (25 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

RE: Found some circa 1997 system sets

(...) it wouldn't surprise me if Coles in Tas has/had some lego, as I don't believe that there are all that many k-mart stores down there, and this is the only way they could sell some of the larger sets in Tas. Anyway, selling lego in supermarkets (...) (25 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

RE: We should draft an "official" letter to Lego Australia

Agreed...I was only adding that section [which David helpfully polished up, and made sound really good] to show how much we value the ABS...and that we'd be willing to go to great lengths to get items we consider have great personal value. It wasn't (...) (25 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: We should draft an "official" letter to Lego Australia

Yeah this is sounding much better, and thats the idea, to get everyones thoughts about something like this. I will say this though in case it didn't sound clear earlier. I didn't want LA receiveing a letter which nitpicks or starts requesting that (...) (25 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

RE: We should draft an "official" letter to Lego Australia

(...) Yep, that sounds better. I knew what I wanted to say, it's just the child inside me that wanted to make it sound harsh, and I was having trouble trying to type what was wanted without him complaining too much :) As a follow-up, in future (...) (25 years ago, 26-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
