LEGOLAND California is closed today due to the fires in Southern California. Interstate 5 and the associated railroad tracks from Oceanside to San Clemente were shut down at 02:00 this morning, cutting off access to the park from north of San Diego. (...) So here is a two-year follow up on the Legoland CA hotel: The hotel was talked about back in Jan 2006 by Nick Varney as posted in this thread: (URL) construction looks to be going on NOW! (...) Maybe thats why they added the fence, under the front legs it has a steel beam that is hidden by the fence rail and the box on the front. (...) Funny! I remember that funny horse model, sitting at the now defunct shows and events building in Enfield, waiting to be repaired, the legs were way to slim to carry the weight of the body.
