The Maniac Clubhouse is getting turned into a 100% bulk brick store with a
huge selection.

Whuh?  I hadn't heard this before.  Anyone have more details?  Please define
"huge selection"!!  <grin>

They are going to take out all the Bionicle stuff out of the clubhouse, and
from what the MC that mainly works in there tells me they are going to
expand the room (take out the counter where the food and current register
are and remove a wall or two) and put new bulk bins covering the walls and
in other places. I have heard there will be 300+ parts & color combinations
form one person, and 400+ from another. But from what I understand it will
not just be basic stuff - there will be some hard to get colors and items
like that there. Details are still kinda blurry - but they are doing away
with the 6 tiny bulk bins full of common parts and the building part of the
clubhouse. I was also told it would be open "around the start of summer".

I am will give more details as soon as I know them.

(...) <snip> (...) Thanks Mark! Sounds like they are moving in the direction of the Lego Shop at Milton Keynes (and in the direction that LL Windsor is rumored to be moving as well), which is great news! (22 years ago, 13-Mar-03, to lugnet.legoland.california)

(...) Oh geeze, you're killing me here! This makes me wish I lived a LOT closer to LLCA!! So, all I need is someone who lives in the Carlsbad area (and has a season pass to LL) to be my new *best friend*... <grin> JohnG, GMLTC (22 years ago, 13-Mar-03, to lugnet.legoland.california)
