I'm sure they know we want this in America, but I don't think it is
possible.  Last I knew, all the models for the California Park were being
built in England.  If this is true then there just aren't any master builder
workspaces at the LL CA.  And no Master Builders to show off models.

I think the best we could see at LL CA would be an up close tour of
miniland.  See how everything works.  That would still be cool.  And maybe
they could fly in a Master Builder to explain some building techniques.  The
only thing missing would be the huge amount of rare lego parts.

No, they said at the LLW tour that there was a model maker group at LL CA.
I believe it is small at present, and true many of the models were built at
LLW.

They need some capability on site for maintenance purposes I would assume.
Besides breakages, people actually steal models or pieces of and take them
home - the automobiles are popular.
Cars were one of the things they said were made locally - each model making
team specialises in cars common to their locality and send them to all the
other parks if they are 'world' cars.

And actually we didn't go on a tour of the main model making facility.
The one we did go round, though a working facility, is quite small and on show
to the public behind glass.
The main one is much larger, and has all the non lego stuff as well , like
metalwork, animatronics, etc
